How-should I know what data can be generated from VSA

The best approach on getting this information is by referring to VSA Report Parts. Majority of time, these will give you insight on what information are available and how you able to output it into a reporting.

Navigate to Info Center > Configure & Design > Report Parts.

Scenario Example:

I am looking to prepare a report whereby it shows details of Computer Name, CPU speed and Disk space from every endpoint that has I have seen on Audit section.

So the key here is "Audit". Whenever you came across this requirement in your head, always refer to report part first to find out what details can you output from the "Audit" section.

From the result above, you can conclude that you need to pull the data from 2 different dataset which is Machine Summary and Disk Volume in order to get Computer Name, CPU speed and Disk space information. Having this, you can take note about this before start designing the reporting section. For instance, to display it in a form of table, pie chart, or even arranging the displayed information section, by section.
